Pretty decent experience

Nah, Pagecloud itself doesn't charge transaction fees. Whatever your payment processor (Stripe, PayPal etc.) charges, that's it.

They're a solid starting point. What makes Pagecloud good for creatives is the editor itself, you can pretty much move anything anywhere, so even if a template is 'generic' you can make it unique.

If you're using one of their templates, you can honestly get something decent published in a day. Connecting your domain takes a bit but it's not hard, they have pretty clear instructions.

Depends on how much customization you want. I got my portfolio site live with a custom domain in about 3 days, but I already had all my content ready to go. The editor is really drag and drop so it's fast once you get the hang of it.

Yeah, it can handle digital products. I use it for my online course and it works fine. Shopify is more purely e-commerce focused but Pagecloud is pretty flexible.

I've seen people use it for digital stuff. They have inventory management and all that. If you're already leaning towards Pagecloud for the design flexibility, I'd say try it out. The 14-day trial is good for that.
